Town Centre Regeneration Strategy
KI recognises that creating a vibrant and attractive town centre must go hand in hand with successful regeneration of the Kirkintilloch area. The Initiative aims to assist in making Kirkintilloch an attractive market town for its natural catchment area. Kirkintilloch’s Initiative is working closely with the Town Centre Manager and local traders to develop a town centre regeneration strategy.
The improvements will help Kirkintilloch’s Initiative meet it’s key aim of providing a better quality of life and stronger economy for local people.
The regeneration strategy will:
- improve access to the town and car parking
- cover all forms of access to the town centre including walking, cycling, public transport, private car and delivery vehicles
- help make it easier for new businesses to set up in the town centre.
The Project Champion and Community Representatives for this project are Duncan Hamilton and Clare Gemmell.
